Hi Friends,

If you had asked me what a succulent was 5 years ago, I would have given you a blank stare. However, as less rain and snow has been present in the state over the last decade, there has been a push to use more water friendly plants, which include succulents.

For homeowners like myself, the struggle is real to balance laws restricting water use to keeping your property looking good with grass. I have found my balance, but many people give up and go to “rock yards” or a “garden yard” full of drought tolerant plants.

Succulents come in many varieties, shapes, colors and sizes. I find many of them look good and we have a few around the house:



I haven’t gone “all succulents” yet like many Californians, but perhaps I will get there one day!

These plants are looking so beautiful specially in our rooms. Just need some water, without sunlight these only plants make our house beautiful.
